I know there is a path from the Villas - where is it located and how long is the walk?

We were right near the stairs at the end of the hall that comes out closest to Hollywood Studios and it took us 10 minutes. I can imagine being closer to the lobby would add maybe 5 minutes. There are signs pointing which way but basically if you go to the back side of the resort along the water and you are facing the water, DHS is to the left, EPCOT to the right.

It isn't a bad walk. When we stayed at BWV, we did it every time we went to and back from DHS. We found it easier with our stroller. It is a bit creepy at night though as part of the path is along the water. We kept imaging alligators and snakes coming out of the water.

Just a tip, when staying at the villas and traveling from the studios by boat, get off at the swan/dolphin. We would get off at the swan too from the buses.

We did the walk multiple times from the YC last August. It was much preferable to the boats, IMO, especially in the summer. I'm one of those people who needs to decompress from all the sensory input in the parks, so having that stroll back to the hotel in the peace and quiet was nice.

Totally agree. From the Studios, the boat will first stop at the Swan/Dolphin, then go to the Yacht/Beach Club, then to the Boardwalk. Lately, most boat announcers will advise Boardwalk people get off at the Swan/Dolphin and take the short bridge over.

For buses, if the first stop is the Swan/Dolphin, get off there.

I'd always walk and my wife would always take the boat. I beat her every time. Heck, most times I'd go ahead into the park and meet her at the gate with a beer in my hand.
