Walking distance map- hotels to DL (PP or CMTPE)

Trying to decide between Paradise Pier and Courtyard Marriott Theme Park Entrance. Same price. Is there a map that details walking distance from hotels - esp now that you can't cut through the Grand?

Also any difference in security from the downtown Disney side vs harbor side? Thanks!

Go to openstreetmap dot org, look up Disneyland and you can see how you need to walk from the hotels to the park.

More security lines on DTD side, so lines don't back up like Harbor side. Go with PPH.....EMH can't be beat! (you can go through CGH on the way back to the hotel, just not on the way to the parks.)

Courtyard.

So much quicker and less irritating than having to walk all the way through dtd.

If it is the same price i would choose paradise pier. If you choose Courtyard in my opinion the only thing you gain is a couple min faster time in the AM and if you choose PP you get EMH.

How do you cut into downtown Disney from paradis pier?

I personally hate Harbor. I would prefer PPH myself.

While walking through Downtown Disney is more crowded than walking to offsite hotels, it is a much better atmosphere. You get to stay almost totally in the Disney bubble, which is important to some. For me, the absolute best part of staying onsite in the extra magic hour, especially at DCA. You can get so much done in that hour!

PPH and the Courtyard are two of my regular stays...for me, PPH hands down unless Courtyard is significantly cheaper. While the CY is absolutely the nicest off site walkable property IMO, dealing with the Harbor Security has been increasingly frustrating.

While the walks are probably comparable overall, to me there is a big distinction doing that walk through DTD and staying in the "Disney Bubble" vs crossing Harbor and dealing with the panhandlers, street vendors and to me what feels like the Vegas Strip. While totally safe, it is certainly a different vibe then walking though DTD!

People keep bemoaning not being able to walk in though the GHC (you can still exit BTW) but the route to DTD by the DLH literally adds only 3-4 min to an able bodied person's walk. You will likely spend many more minutes than that of you have to enter through the Harbor side security. DTD security is now minimal lines if at all.

If i am using Marriott points, the CY it is. If I am paying cash, CY has to me SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper for me to choose it over PPH.

...plus today they had Minnie, Stitch and Mickey in the PPH lobby....have yet to see that at the Courtyard!

We went with PPH for our up coming trip. We want to have the full Disney bubble with EMH and also the nice things like shopping delivered to our rooms if they still do that.

Another vote for PPH! EMH makes it absolutely worth it.
