Walking distance from parks: RPR vs. HRH

Hello. Could anyone compare the walking distance between RPR and the parks vs. the walking distance between HRH and the parks? When I called to make a reservation, I was told that you have to walk through City Walk from either resort to access the parks--is this true? I will have three small children in tow.

HRH is slightly closer. To get to Universal from HRH, you do not have to go through Citywalk and the same is true for getting to IOA from RPR. I would not choose hotels based on which is closer. It's really an irrelevant difference considering how much walking you have to do in the actual parks. You can take the boat if you're too tired to walk back after leaving.

How long would you say it takes to walk to each park from RPR?

It's about ten minutes to IOA (give or take a few minutes depending on your pace) and maybe three minutes more than that to Universal. They are right next to each other.

Its only minutes to the parks from RPR and HRH is closer, but they are both close , and not as if its 30 or 40 mins walking, just pick the one you prefer. even Portofino is only a 15 minute walk to Universal, and they all have the water taxis

RPR is closer to IOA. HRH is closer to the Studios.

RPR is about 10 minutes from IOA. HRH is about 5 minutes from Studios.

It takes under 5 minutes to walk from IOA to the Studios.
