Walking and running mileage TTC to the end of the walkway at the canal?

Curious if anyone knows what the official distance is from the end of the walkway at the canal after the Grand Floridian to the TTC.

I still don't know why Disney has not completed the walkway to alleviate some monorail traffic. I know when staying at the Grand my wife and I would always take the opportunity to walk to the TTC to go to Epcot, we'd do the same to the MK. It's healthy and a very nice walk. And with all of the marathons and other races Disney puts on I can't understand why Disney could not install a simple bridge like in Epcot that raises up to allow all of the Electric Boat parade to pass under.

Guests at the Contemporary can walk to the MK, why not guest from the highest cost resorts?

The Official Disney site gives misleading information which is why I am asking:

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
1.4 mile, unshaded trail along Seven Seas Lagoon
Extended pathway continues on past the Wedding Chapel, offering a view of Magic Kingdom theme park

Disney's Polynesian Resort
Scenic one-mile long trail along Seven Sea Lagoon and the perimeter of the Resort hotel grounds
Extended pathway extends past the Tahiti building en route to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and the Fiji and Aotearoa buildings


I am sure each of these have a loop or something, hard to determine a straight line walk / run. Very surprised there is not more info online in regards to distances.
