Have you ever tried them or seen many people with them- if there are too many people you would have trouble crossing channels which I am thinking is the case- anyone have any experiences to share?

Thanks, Jen

I've seen a lot of people using them and we tried using them once, several years ago. They tend to get obnoxious because people frequently stop dead in the middle of the path to yell loudly into their Walkie Talkies. By the time we go back in September our son will be 14 and have his own cell phone so we won't be using the walkie talkies. Last September it seemed that there were always at least 2 of us together while the 3rd did something else so each party was still able to have a cell phone.

We tried them last year, and found them useless. Even though ours normally have great reception they were extremely poor in the parks, and half the time they either didn't work, or we couldn't hear what the others were saying due to all the crowd noise etc. We will likely not bother with them this year...

We used them in Dec 06. We only used them when either DH or I would be in line waiting for a character, and the other one of us would be enjoying the park with DD. We would just 'call' over to one another and get in line when it was closer. It worked great for the princesses...DH waited about 1.5 hours while DD and I rode Goofy's Barnstormer and played in Donalds Boat!!
