Walk Way on Harbor or still crosswalk

It's been a year since I was down. We stay at the BWPPI. Is it still the crosswalk or have they started to work on the bridge over Harbor? We will be down mid August. Just curious to see if they ever started that project.

It is still a crosswalk. Currently, my understanding is the Eastern Gateway project has stalled. I know some of the business are strongly opposed to the pedestrian walkway in fear of loss of business among other reasons.

Stalled last I researched it out (got curious a few weeks ago, could only find crickets on the subject pretty much). FWIW the project slated to be rather big & involved and will take a couple years to complete once they get going. There's a thread here called Eastern Gateway or something that has all the info we know right now, sorry can't link it I'm on mobile & that's just too much of a challenge for me right now If you have time to kill and are curious it's an interesting skim.

I expect in the end the Crosswalk will remain. The "bridge" will be used for those in that parking structure/lot, as well as those bused over from Toy Story lot.

I could only imagine the traffic nightmares that would be caused by demo and bridge construction. I would stay away for the 2 or 3 years it takes once/if they start.
