Walk up Wedding Chapel w FP+...Possible Attraction? Which Park?

IF Disney decided to have a Wedding Chapel 'Attraction' and offered it with FP+, how many folks do you think would use it for a quickie ceremony? It would take no more time than a regular meet and greet with a character.

Quickie ceremonies are obviously done in the parks just like the one in the above article that was held sneakily in the Tiki Room. If it were offered in an unused area of one of the parks, it might prevent people from sneaking into the Tiki Room to hold a ceremony before the start of the show.

Really? You don't think Disney could pull it off with class?
They could have a gift shop next to it with wedding ears, wedding cupcakes and other souvenirs. Disney photographers just like Meet and Greets.
With the number of couples that get engaged at Disney, I think there are enough people that would do this.
And let's be honest, there are a lot of cheesy folks that come to Disney.

Speaking of cheese...they could have a restaurant with cheese plates and hors d'oeuvres and mini wedding cakes for impromptu reception .
Gift shop could sell Tuxedo t-shirts and wedding ears.


Or they could do something not so cheesy and offer wedding opportunities in one of the gazebos in France/Epcot for the folks that don't want the extravagance or cost of the Wedding Pavilion but still want to be able to say they were married at Disney without breaking the rules like the sneaky Tiki wedding.

Because I think Vegas has a lock on this. Disney doesn't need to be Vegas

I'll be honest, I called it an 'attraction' so it wouldn't get booted to another thread....
although I would sit on a bench outside the 'gazebo' or 'chapel' and watch the brides and grooms come and go all day while my family rode the rides.

Have you seen what they charge for a Disney wedding? Surely you don't think they'd offer a free option??

I actually like the concept. not free but some place scaled down where those on a budget could still have a disney wedding.
Make some limits on it. guest size (no 300 people parties). still charge a fee and only disney photogs doing the pictures but I think that would be a great idea.

One problem they'd have to overcome to do this at WDW is that in Florida there appears to be a 3 day waiting period after you get a marriage license (which can be waived if you complete a Florida pre-marital course). I believe in Nevada there's no waiting period - thus the ability to do quickie wedding ceremonies.

And, in FL you can only get a marriage license from certain county (or state court) officials. But I guess there's probably one close to WDW, so that's easy enough to work out I guess.
