Walk-up Dining Availability?

Do any of the super popular locations still offer a walk-up option? Specifically Oga's, Trader Sam's, or Lamplight Lounge?
For our upcoming trip I'm betting my husband would be open to an unplanned stop for a drink and snack while our teenagers go off to ride some rides without us. But I hesitated to make reservations (because he hates being locked into planned spontaneity!) and now, of course, they are all fully booked.

And if there is this option...are there tricks or tips for actually getting in??

I haven't been to Trader Sam's recently but: No for Lamplight. Sort of yes for Oga's.

At Oga's, if you are on the app while in Galaxy's Edge, you can go to the dining section and see if the "join walk up list" is available. You basically have to keep checking while nearby to snag a spot when it opens up. Once you enter your party details, it'll give you an estimated wait and you can return when it sends you a notification in the app. Morning is easier than afternoon because most people don't want alcohol until later in the day.

Lamplight Lounge has the Boardwalk Dining option upstairs outdoors, and that one is walk up only. They don't take reservations. You can join the walk up waitlist when you are in the park. They have a pretty good small bites menu.

Otherwise, if you just want drinks and a place to chill, head over to the Sonoma terrace, Mendocino terrace, or Paradise Garden area where you can order drinks and sit for awhile. There are some couches at Sonoma terrace and plenty of shaded tables. Sonoma terrace also has food options.

I was at Disneyland on Sept 18th (Saturday), and was hoping to visit Oga's Cantina. The mobile app said that they were full for walk-ups, but thought why not ask a cast member just in case. This was at 11am, but they were able to get us a spot at the bar immediately. Morning are definitely easier then afternoon, and if the app says full no harm in asking a CM.
