i would just walk but if it was too cold for you or you have little ones i would get the free bus which was excellent and very frequent

if you drive you will probably have almost as far to walk from the carpark.

Thats the beauty of DLP compared to WDW everything is so compact and in easy reach. Walk along the canal to the lake then through the village and you are there

if it was a nice day i would walk, if not i would get the free shuttle bus it takes like two minutes to get to the park

Its only about a 20 minute walk from the Santa Fe to the parks and it is lovely walk at that.

There is a bus you can catch at the front of the hotel but it always seems to be a crush.

I would walk if the weather was nice enough, i wished i had walked more from hotel cheyenne to the park more often last year.

we walked everyday ( even when it was minus 9 ) its easier to walk than struggle on the bus which was sooooo jam packed ( with people with very little manners :( )

I agree with the others, walking is definitely the way to go. We walked every day from the Cheyenne in June and every day from Sequoia Lodge this week. We took the shuttle bus once from the Cheyenne (about the same distance as Santa Fe) and it was a horrible experience.

Walk if you can. It's a lovely walk and if you've ended up in the Village after park closing you'll be half-way there already. :) You can always stop off for a drink at the Cheyenne on the way home!

Just a question, do you not have to pay to use the car parks in Disney if you are not staying at DCR?

We have walked most fo the times from The Cheyenne but we have never stayed at the Santa Fe so i dont know how much far it is really.
Anyway when i see the Village i feel like i have already arrived and it makes the whole walk seem shorter :goodvibes

Oooooh good point - I think you do. They provide shuttle buses so they are not expecting people to drive. Of course you could get an AP and walk from HNY. :rotfl2:
