Walk me through testing at the port

My understanding is that DCL is no longer testing everyone at the port and we need to get a PCR or NAAT no more than 2 days prior. But you CAN test at the port, you just have to pay for it now.

Can anyone walk me through how that works? Do you make an appointment? Where is it done? Do you park and then go for testing? How much does it cost?

From Disney's Know Before you go

The cost of embarkation tests for fully vaccinated Guests will be $74.00 (USD) plus tax for the initial antigen test, and, if needed, $125.00 (USD) plus tax for a confirmatory PCR test, charged at the time of service.

Testing Locations at Each Port
  • Cape Canaveral: Testing is conducted at the parking garage. Guests who drove to the terminal will stay inside their cars until their testing is completed and they are cleared to park their car and board the ship. A testing site at the garage is available for Guests who have been dropped off at the terminal.

As long as everyone is vaxxed, the up to 2 day before can be a proctored rapid antigen test. We used the free govt tests with Onpoint testing service telehealth appt on Thursday morning before our Saturday cruise. Results need to be uploaded by midnight before the cruise embarks.

If you are looking to get it done at the port, no appointment is needed. You show up without test results and are directed to it before check-in. Where and how will depend on the port.

Valid assumption! Looking at the OP's sailing history in their signature, it's very likely they are sailing out of PC again.

Yep! I live 20 minutes from the port. My next DCL is in 70 days on the Wish!!

Thanks for all the help, everyone. I was having a mental block and kept going back to what I knew (even though I knew it had changed).

Does anyone know if you are allowed to give your large bags to the porters prior to going to the garage to test? We have a 3 year that is mandated to test at port.

Yes. You’ll stop at the porters before being granted clearance to the garage
