Effective September 9th, the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour becomes the Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps tour.

The tour still includes lunch on Main Street and a peek in the lobby of Club 33, but now also includes a look in Walt's Apartment above the firehouse.

The new price is $109 and is already available for booking.

Interesting! I may have to do this now!

Here are more details as found on the Disney blog: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...-new-walk-in-walts-disneyland-footsteps-tour/

I called to find out what the tour price would be for a Disney Visa holder or Premium Passport and it's $87.20.

I'm seriously considering doing this tour next month because I have always wanted to see Walt's apartment. When we won a night in the Dream Suite, in all the excitement I forgot to ask for a tour of the apartment, so this is finally my opportunity to see it.

Does anyone know if while on tour you can purchase merchandise at Club 33? Any info would be appreciated.

(note to self,,,,,,,,beg,borrow or steal $218.) ;)

I am pretty sure you can't purchase Club 33 merchandise on the tour. The curio cabinet is on the second floor, which the tour does not take you to.

I am ridiculously excited to book this tour!! I have wanted to see Walt's Apartment for awhile now and am glad I have the opportunity. :woohoo:

what I read said it was a totally new tour and it was a private lunch was it always a private lunch?

We just ate on Main Street up by the tour booth when I went. This tour was already amazing, so if they are adding to it, I can't wait to go on it again!

When we did the tour in 2005 we had a semi-private lunch outside the French Market but it was boxed lunches we selected prior to starting the tour. At that time they had not done the Dream Suite and that was the tour of Walts Apartment - or at least what was designed to be his apartment. I really wished it was of the apartment above the fire house but wow - what a jump in price to do it!

I have just booked for 9/10/12. I was on the previous incarnation, and as stated by someone else, it was great already! The lady taking my reservation said that they are tweaking the menu, but that you still select your lunch before the tour. Also, she said that many Cast Members are excited about this as well!

My friend has done the original tour of this twice and loved it. I am sure the new tour will be awesome. Oh and she got a discount for being an AAA member.

Does anyone know if they offer a military discount for the tour.

We were planning on doing it when it was $64 but that is a big jump... but you also get to see the apartment...:cool1:

I am beyond excited for this. In the comments of the Disney Parks Blog the moderator said there will be a group photo inside the apartment, which makes this worth every penny to me.

Wow this is great news! My family has always wanted to go inside Walt's Apartment. Now I am doubly excited for them to visit me this fall!

I have wanted to see the inside of 33 and Walt's Apartment. There is a really cool 360 degree view of Walt's Apartment above the Fire House on the iPad application: Lady and the Tramp, Second Screen. You don't need the movie to explore the apartment. It's really cool. Check it out. :thumbsup2

I think I'm going to have to take a three hour break from my family so that I can do this tour when we go in September! My wife has zero interest in it, so it'll be some nice alone time for her and DD4. At least that's the rationalization I'm using. ;)
