I have read about and have seen photos of work on the pathways by the lake outside of HNY. At one point it seemed you couldn't walk that way to the park from SQL. Does anyone know if this is still the case? I don't fancy walking around via NPB every time we are heading out!

If anyone going soon could update on this please, I'd be very grateful :thumbsup2.

It was the other way round you couldn't walk (pass the Newport Bay) You have always been able to walk pass the HNY to the parks.

Just seen on inside dlp work on bridge between HNY and SL. Not sure how it will effect access :confused3

Yes OP I remember too - there were works on the bridge meaning you couldn't walk from HNY to SQL for a while; guests were redirected via NPB. According to InsideDLParis, those works ended in August but, like micksn says, new works are taking place now but I'm not sure how it will affect access either.

You can view the photos on the InsideDLParis Facebook page even if you aren't a FB member as they have a public profile :thumbsup2 Don't know what I'd do without their daily updates :rotfl:

Here just now. The route past HNY to SL is completely closed off. I'll try and remember to take a photo tomorrow before we leave.

Thanks all - I knew I hadn't imagined it :thumbsup2.

Julie - does this mean if you staying at SQL, you have to walk around the other side of the lake via NPB? I have no idea as haven't even ventured that far before :rotfl2:! I hope you are all having a super duper time! :cheer2:

Little to none, now. Were at sql for me wish trip and walk wit the guerney (fully bedridden) te Parks and village. They keep a pathway open incl no gaps etc so easy for strollers, wheelchairs or awake sleeping beauties like myself. ;-)

Very fast walk, quicker than driving even for me with ambulance dropping me off almost at gate (parking at dlh) and pick up right in front of hotel door. Timed it:11 minutes incl 2 detours due to accessible walkway being long way round. Without, took family 7 minutes.

IT IS NOT CLOSED. looks like it perhaps but no. Was taken over that bridg between hny and sql yesterday last time at Little past 8.

Whether it's completely closed or not, I really hope this is all gone in two weeks.
Otherwise there might not even be a Bonfire show.
There's no way they can do that with the place looking like this.

I took a good look this morning and took some photos that I'll post when we get home. From the pathway at HNY side it does look blocked off, but there is a bit at the side that diverts you towards the HNY to go round the building works that are on the bridge. So you should be able to walk ok :)

I'm not worried about the walking part.
I'm worried about the crowd when Bonfire is on.
It's always absolutely packed, and this is just ugly and distracting when Bonfire is hosted there.

Thank you for doing this Julie. It's really appreciated. Looking forward to hearing all about your trip xx

Ok, here we go.

Photo from the HNY side looking towards SL:

Sign, directing round towards HNY to get past:You can see a little girl in red walking between:

I took this one from the side of the ice rink looking towards SL.

Most people were going just past the Rockefeller building and onto the path rather than walking all the way round past HNY. Hope this helps and makes sense :goodvibes

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this Julie - it is really appreciated! I am sure I'll find my way if I know there is a path round there - the main thing is we can get through that way. I have never been around the lake (to my embarrassment!), the furthest we've ventured is Cafe Mickey and to stand at the rails there to overlook the lake/hotels around the lake from outside of there!!
