Walk from Carousel Inn to Cheesecake Factory?

Has anyone walked from the Carousel Inn area on Harbor Blvd to the Cheesecake Factory? How long did it take? Is it farther than walking to the end of Downtown Disney? Just trying to gauge if my 5 year old could handle the walk there and back for lunch or dinner. Thanks!

that is to far for a 5 year old. Even if he could walk it, he'd be walking home on a full stomach.... not very fun.

I would say it would be okay as you can cut right through the middle of the Garden Walk. But I guess a good question is..is your son a walker or not. We stayed at Residence Inn and my 5 year old walked to Disneyland everyday which is no farther than the Carousel to the Cheese Cake Factory. But not sure if you know or not but they don't have a kids menu there. My boys 5 & 8 had a hard time finding something on the menu to eat other than the cheese cake that is

She's usually a pretty good walker but we've taken our sit-n-stand stroller in the past just in case she gets tired with all the DL walking and needs to catch a ride for a while, but we got rid of it this past summer and will only have a single stroller for the 3 year old on this trip.

I also heard from someone that CCF doesn't have a kids menu but they said if you ask they'll prepare a kids meal of noodles and butter or red sauce or chicken strips and fries, so we'll try that route. If that doesn't work, hopefully the kids can find a regular entree that they like to share.

I wouldn't want to do it. We drove there, just a bit too far IMO.

i think it depends on how much walking you have already done on your trip at that point.

we were at DI&S the first time we went to the garden walk. i was a little afraid of the walk...but, it seemed to me it was no farther than walking to downtown disney and any of those restaurants.

It is in the new Anaheim Garden Walk. It is on the far side from Disneyland but you can cut right through the middle where all the shops are and it right around the corner from California Pizza Kitchen. They do have parking there if you need it.
