Wal-Mart ecard question

Can I use a walmart ecard to purchase a restaurant/food card at walmart?
Hubbys cousin said she was able to but the cashier had no idea what an ecard was and a manager came and said buy whatever you want with your ecard and she asked if she could get a applebees card and he said sure. She said she tried a 2nd time but the cashier told her no. There was a long line behind her so she decided to try another day so not to hold up the line. Don't know if she did.

Just want to know if any of you have done it. I know I've had trouble with target ecards at certain Targets but it depend on the managers.

I'm thinking of getting a walmart ecard from SB so please let me know. TIA!

I've used them to buy other giftcards but for some reason it wouldn't work for visa.

Thanks for the info. I figure Visa would be a problem . Target also doesn't allow visa being purchase with target card.

I just wanted to get a food giftcards

I sure hope it works - I plan on cashing out my the Walmart e-cards I've gotten from SB for Disney gift cards next week before we leave. I checked the fine print on the website before choosing the gift card and I didn't see anything that listed restrictions or said it couldn't be used for the purchase of gift cards
