Waking up to bacon!!!

Ha! This reminds me of the Office episode where Michael cooks bacon on his foreman grill in the morning and burned his foot.

I see a future full of safety issues.

For me, it seems like a nice way to wake up except that I usually don't like to eat until I've been up for an hour or so. Also, my cardiologist would not be happy with me eating bacon (I do sneak some about once a month, though).

just because some people won't be able to access the link....

waking up to bacon

A new alarm clock has been created which cooks you bacon when it goes off.

The clock, called the Wake n' Bacon, turns on 10 minutes before it's set to go off and slowly starts to cook frozen bacon beneath two halogen light bulbs.

A built-in fan then helps disperse the smell of bacon around the room to wake a person up.

New York designer Matty Sallin came up with the invention and says the clock "creates a mouthwatering smell just strong enough to wake you up."

Sallin adds he's used to clock "many times and it's great."

Sallin is now looking for a sponsor so he can make more of the clocks.

I :worship: bacon, but can you imagine the stench in your house from this thing making you bacon 5 or more mornings a week?

doesn't it remind y'all of an easy bake oven?? Cooking bacon with lightbulbs....hello "easy bacon oven!"!! :rotfl:

Does Michael Scott know about this!?!?

I loved that episode of The Office! It was all good until he burned his foot on the Foreman Grill! :rotfl::rotfl:

"I like waking up to the smell of bacon, sue me. And since I don't have a butler, I have to do it myself. So, most nights before I go to bed, I will lay six strips of bacon out on my George Foreman grill. Then I go to sleep. When I wake up, I plug in the grill. I go back to sleep again. Then I wake up to the smell of crackling bacon. It is delicious, it's good for me, it's the perfect way to start the day. " -Michael Scott

So frozen bacon sits in a pan melting for 8 hours while you are sleeping? :scared: EWWW! I would think that bacon is not edible in the morning. too much bacteria growing overnite. :scared1:
