Waits and best time to ride in Harry Potter

We will be getting to the parks at about 2pm. Should I even attempt Harry Potter stuff the first day or wait? We are coming on a Tuesday at the beginning of May and staying at HRH for 7 nights.

when someone says wait time board, i think of the board signs in the parks that name the ride and the present time wait.
(and the current show times)

it is changed constantly throughout the day so that will help guide you to how long the lines can be.
