Hi all,

Here's my situation. I have a 5 night Deluxe studio ressie at Kidani starting May 16. My DH, 6 month old son and I went away this weekend and stayed at a hotel, we realized that with all the gear my DS requires (pack n play, stroller, etc..), it might be better to stay in a one bedroom. This would also give us a separate space to hang out in when he's asleep. I called MS yesterday and wait listed the entire stay for the one bedroom (value and standard) because they only had three days available but I don't want to change rooms and lug all that junk during our vacation so i did not book the 3 nights available. We are pretty set on AK because we only own 100 PTS and dont want to borrow too many points.

I have never wait listed and wanted to know If I've done all I can do as far as wait listing goes., My other question would be if anyone has had luck getting their request filled this close to their trip when putting in a request so late in the game (i just know I'm at the very bottom of a long list).

Thanks in advance:flower3:

I've been on a few waitlists and whenever they came through it was outside of 30 days. I never had one come through under the 30 day mark. I'm going around the same time as you and am on a waitlist. I'm not expecting it to come through, but a miracle would be nice. Otherwise I'll be changing rooms all three nights. I could have gotten all three at SSR or OKW, but wanted BWV for the Star Wars Weekend. We'll be at AKV one night, BWV Boardwalk View the next, and BWV Standard view the third.

I just had a wait list come through for my stay. I will be there next Thursday (May 6) on points and through the weekend at Pop. I only had the 1 night on the wait list though. I happened to call member services and I was going to ask about other units that were available.

I hate to be a wet blanket but the odds are very very low that the waitlist will come through after the 30 day window has closed. Most members will want to avoid having their points put into a holding account to avoid the limitations. But, then again, anything is possible.

I know you don't want to move mid trip (and I don't think I would either with a young child) but your chances would be better to get the 1 bedroom for the trip if you booked what you could and only wait listed the rest.

The will only fill your wait list if all the days are available. So, if you had 3 of the nights already and only had to wait list the rest, I think that would give you a better chance.

Well I can no longer say I've never had a waitlist come through under 30 days. My first night (originally at AKV) came through for BWV Boardwalk view this afternoon. Now we have all three nights at BWV, however the last night is still standard view. Good luck to you, I hope it comes through. The 1 bedroom with a young child makes a nicer vacation for the parents.

Thank you all for responding. After much consideration I decided to book the entire stay in a 1 BR at SSR. It took way more points than what I wanted to use this year but at this point I would prefer to be comfortable even if it means having less points to bank into next year than would I would have liked.

I think you made a wise choice. I remember when our oldest was little how nice it was to put him to bed and relax in the living room are with my DW. We had also done a disney cruise before our stay at WDW and really appreciated the extra room after being cramped together in our cabin on board the ship. Have a great trip!
