DH & I are wondering if you can waitlist at more than one resort. We are in the talking stage, did the big DVC presentation on our last trip and realized we forgot to ask this question. Figured we'd ask here instead of calling our DVC rep (don't want a full sales push for one question). :)

Yes. You are allowed to have up to 2 active waitlists at any one time.

That said, it's not quite as simple as waitlisting for any studio at XXX resort and resort XXX.

Most of the DVC resorts have multiple booking categories. For example, at BLT, there are Magic Kingdom views, Lake Views and Standard views. Each would take a separate waitlist.

At AKV, there are value studios, standard studios, savanna view studios and concierge studios at Jambo section, and at Kidani building, there are standard studios and savanna studios. So 6 different waitlist possibilities for AKV (if I got them all, LOL). Again, you only get to select two.

Good luck with your decision. :)

Are wait lists date-specific? Or can you say "I want a standard studio at SSR any 7 consecutive days in Sept?

Wait lists are date specific.

1) VERY date specific.
2) Plus, you could be split between two resorts.
3) Whichever waitlist comes through, you get.

4) EXAMPLE:
. . . waitlisted for December 2nd-3rd-4th at SSR and OKW
. . . comes through for 2nd & 4th at OKW and 3rd at SSR
. . . those are your nights at those resorts

i thought they stopped allowing a day-by-day waitlist. (?)

My understanding is that wait lists are filled in their entirety. So, if you wait list for December 2nd through the 4th at SSR or OKW, those will only fill when all dates are available. If OKW comes through for only 2 of the 3 nights, it would not fill.

They will not split a wait list unless you set it up that way. So, the only way to get what you suggest would be for an owner to have set it up as a daily wait list for the 3rd.

However, if all the nights become available at SSR, then that wait list will fill and the OKW will cancel.
