Waitlisted

I have been on the waitlist for a few weeks for a VWL studio in December. Do they literally put you on a first come first serve list? At the seventh month mark when people start to switch will those of us waitlisted be given first preference? I didn't make enough inquiry's when I called. Thanks!

I think that even if you had made inquiries, you may not know much more. There is not a list that has the order that you are in, in the waitlist, that is available to members. Did you waitlist on a night by night basis or for the whole block of time? People have reported success using both methods, but probably night by night is more likely to come through, but you would be moving if a night or nights in the middle didn't come through.

PS. Different time of the year, different resort, but more than 10 1/2 months out I called for a Standard View studio at BWV for October 22nd, a Sunday night, and the first day of the '06 members cruise. I was dumbfounded to find myself waitlisted for that night, the next night was available. In about 4 weeks, that waitlist came through for me, but still, someone made a ressie and changed their mind way before other resort owners could even book. So, something like that can happen to you. Yes it's a popular time and place, but so is BWV during F&W.

We are hoping to book a studio at VWL at the 7 month mark for Dec 9-13. I was wondering about availability.

I called for ressies for Nov. 5th through the 10th at VWL on the 7 month day and was placed on the waitlist.
