Waitlist

we have a 3 day waitlist for both the ocean and island view for mid march mid week,,,14-17,,,everyother day lots of availability except those days and I can only waitlist 2 views so took the ones with the most available days.
Anyone know besides some Canadian March break what else is happening that week, also what the chances are of those days opening up?
Will be stalking couple of times a day as well, Just not sure when the give up the hope should be.

Well, I can tell you that March 14-18 is Spring Break for many schools and universities in Texas, and I’m sure there are other locations in the mainland US with a break that week. I don’t know anything about Hawaii schools’ schedules, but that might contribute too.

It's also St. Patrick's Day! Not a day-off holiday but who knows! Some people might be using it to start their spring breaks early lol Americans love excuses to celebrate

That's Hawaii's spring break week. That week has been booked up for a while now.

We have decided to not stress about it and now going end of July.
Therefore I will be releasing our dates of March 11,12,13 and17 1 bdrm std view.

I don't think the waitlist is working as intended right now. My brother was on the waitlist for a night in the middle of our February trip, never got notified but found it available on the website and booked it himself. You would think it would be offered to someone waitlisted for it before opening it up to the public.

Yes, you would think that, but years of posts here on DISboards have shown it’s not so. Many people here recommend waitlisting and also stalking the website to improve chances of picking up the desired reservation.
