Waitlist, the new ROFR

Okay so not really not fair to compare waiting on a waitlist to come through to ROFR but the wait is still brutal nonetheless!

New DVC owners, resale contract AKV. We had a September cash trip booked at POP before we bought in. Upon loading of points onto my dashboard I was like hmmmm, let me just take a peak. 5 of the 7 nights at Poly available, wooohoo. Waitlisted the other two individual nights. BLT was available for those missing nights surprisingly. Notified day after my waitlist that first day came through for Poly and now patiently holding out hope my next day will. Thoughts on a single day standard view coming through? I am optimistic but you never know. If it doesn’t then we truck it over to BLT which isn’t a bad trade off either.

It is so hard not to stalk the availability on the website 24/7!!!

Waitlist is way worse than ROFR. I've been on a waitlist for two single nights for maybe six-eight weeks now. Nothing yet. And I'm stalking every day.

Waitlist is way worse than ROFR. I've been on a waitlist for two single nights for maybe six-eight weeks now. Nothing yet. And I'm stalking every day.

Oh my goodness! I knew we were extremely lucky to get the one night the day after I put in for the waitlist but it kind of set me up for what has only been a few days on the other lol. Fingers crossed yours comes through. This was a last minute decision to go ahead and use some points and I still have our POP reservation booked but have sold myself on our first DVC stay. Would prefer not to move for just the one night.
