Waitlist hypothetical

From reading these boards I have pieced together that you are limited to 2 waitlists. What happens when one is filled? Is the other cancelled?

Hypothetical situation:
Assume I've booked a room at OKW for my vacation, but really want to stay at BLT. If not BLT, then I would like AKV. So I waitlist both.

What happens if BLT comes in? Is it possible for the reservation to switch to BLT due to the waitlist, then the next day or two switch to AKV due to the other waitlist?

Is there some kind of priority for waitlists?

Whichever ones comes in first, the other one is canceled.

You need to be very specific with MS on what you want. For example I have a studio booked at AKV in Oct. I would like to do a split stay so I've waitlisted BCV & BWV. My 1st choice is BCV. MS took very detailed instructions from me (had a great CM on that call). My w/l states if BWV comes through they are still to keep the BCV w/l in place. The AKV nights would be canceled in either case. I don't have any confidence either will come through but it doesn't hurt to try. Just be sure to tell MS exactly what you want & make sure they read it back to you. HTH.

Thanks for the responses. I'm currently waiting for ROFR on a resale and these kinds of things pop into my head and I can't stop thinking about them until I have an answer.
