Waitlist For BWV - 12/14-18...what are the chances?

We booked a last minute stay for 12/14 - 18. Grabbed a 1bdrm at SSR, which we like, but really hoping to be at the BWV this year. Waitlisted for 1bdrm preferred garden/pool or standard view 1 bdrm(2nd waitlist). Anyone have experience with a last minute waitlist for this time of year in the past...what was your outcome?

That standard view will be difficult. Pool/Garden might be possible.

The chance of all 4 nights opening up at the same time is not good. If you are truly seious about getting it, call everyday, and take it if any one of the nights becomes available. Over the course of the next 2 months, having 2 to 3 nights opening up (one night at a time) for garden/pool view is fairly good (like 70% chance). I understand this is not good enough for most people.

I would not hold my breath. We booked BWV 9 months out and could not get the first three days of our vacation. The waitlist has not come through and I doubt that it will. I also call, but no luck there either.

But hey, you never know. Good luck and enjoy your vacation.

This is good advice, I only wish I had found out sooner.
It makes sense if you think it through.
I have been on a waitlist for 3 days right in the middle of our Dec16-24 trip since March. That's what I get for being 28 days late making my ressie!
I read a post last week where someone got a waitlist after only 6 days for one of the dates I need same resort same room.
So I called MS & she basically explained the same thing as the prior poster.
I went ahead and made a cash ressie, I couldn't take the stress.

We have a similar situation with a happy ending - we decided about a month ago to do a 4 night trip for the first part of thanksgiving week in a 1br, and all we could get was SSR. Waitlisted for a std view at BWV, and lo and behold, our waitlist came thru this weekend!
So it CAN happen - and if you haven't heard anything after a few weeks, start calling. Hope it works out for you!
