Waitlist and ADR

We have reservations for VWL from 10/8-10/17 and are waitlisted for the first night 10/7. Am I able to make ADR starting on 10/7 for the whole 10 nights even though the waitlist hasn't come through yet? Or will my confirmation # only work for the 9 nights that booked?

Olny for the nights actually booked, so starting on 10/8 if the waitlist doesn't come through before your ADR window opens.

Sure you can, you don't have to book the ADR under your reservation number. Just use the Dinning reservation on WDW web site. Just use your name. That's what I do.

Exactly what I need to know-thanks. I've never made reservations online so I want to be prepared. I will make the first night the day of and then put my reservation number in the the next day for all remaining booked nights
