Closed on DVC resale last Tuesday.. Waiting to be put in system. What are chances of getting studio in mid October?

Changes of booking an Oct studio at SSR are good. You might also consider AKV -- but the dates, right now, are patchy (3-4 nights in a row show as available with breaks between).

Read up on the waitlist and build a strategy. You might book SSR or AKV as soon as your account is available then use both of the two available waitlists for resorts closer to your intended activities. Perhaps BWV or BCV if attending Food & Wine at Epcot?
