Anyone know when jet blue or southwest release their fares for late September?? If I remember correctly booking when they are first released is cheapest right?? we will be flying out of buffalo!

SW next release date is Jan 27th but that will only take them to Aug 8th. Looks like sometime late Feb/early Mar right now.

Last July we booked our JetBlue flights for this coming April. We paid approx $250/rt (expensive but it is school vacation so we expected that) now the same flights are $1200/rt. I say book right away, because if they go down JetBlue will put a credit into an account for you to use.

I think it was April. We paid $575 for 3 people return in early Sept on SW.

according to a customer service rep I previously spoke to, Jet Blue normally puts new blocks on tickets on sale about 8 months ahead of the flight date however they do it in blocks of dates, so it's difficult to tell when exactly late September would be released.

I got into the habit of checking a few times a day... also follow them on Twitter, they sometimes give followers a hint

Late last April (began the 30th I think) SW had an AMAZING sale on!! I booked return flights from Buffalo to Orlando for September for $188.00US per person!!! I've NEVER seen prices like that!

Both flights were direct to boot!

My DD and I are traveling to Disney in September this year and I'm hoping for a sale even close to this one!

I would recommend going on the SW site and signing up for their emails. That's how I found out about it. I hope they offer something similar this year since I'll be purchasing tickets for my DD and I in September.

I am signed up for Jetblue's emails and I almost never get anything from them. I have found that booking as soon as they're released is the best way with Jetblue. It seems the more booked they get, the higher the prices. Our $280 flights I booked for next month are now almost $600 each.

I just priced direct flights on JetBlue BUF/MCO for August 24 (7 day trip) The price was $666US or $723CDN per person!! - I was expecting much, much less this far out from the travel dates. This would make the cost of flights almost $2200... more then the week long pkg at the WDW deluxe resort we have booked :(

Here is some info that may be of use to some people...

When I was researching our September, 8-16 2013 trip, I made a note that on February 7, 2013, non-stop flights from Syracuse to Orlando on JetBlue were $169.80US/person.

We didn't book then because free dining was not out yet and we weren't going unless it was offered.

We ended up booking direct flights with Southwest September 8-16, 2013 out of Rochester on April 24, 2013 for $179.80US/person.

It was annoying to have to drive the extra hour to Rochester compared to Syracuse but still worth it for that price.
