Waiting till Sun. Aug 24 to hear about Free Dining Bounceback??

My kids & I are AP holders, Can I book 5 nights, reduce the number of ticket days down to 1 and still get FD?

Thanks to everyone who posted the offer! My curiousity has finally been satisfied! :lmao:

Yep... I think so....right now we are trying to decide what dates for next year's FD trip so we can BB when we go this Sept but we want to do the dates for less than 365 from this trip so we can upgrade our tix this trip to AP and use them next FD too...plus get a few trips in between! I think you have to buy a one day base tix per person to make it a package and get the FD!

Yes youll still need at least a one day base ticket for free dining. The pirate rooms should be eligible. Only the campsites and AKL Villas are not eligible.

OKW and SS studios are ~$295 a night in value season so figure closer to $200 a night with the 30% discount. A moderate resort in value season is ~$150 per night. So for a week long stay youll only pay about $350 total to stay at a deluxe villa vs. a moderate resort.

Is there a room discount on top of the free dining? or do you just use the rack rate on the room in the resort you want to figure out the cost?
I'm sorry if it was said already, and I just didn't get it.
So, if the rack rate is $100/night and I stay for 7 nights, then $700 plus the tickets and taxes...

That math was only for Old Key West and Saratoga Springs. All the other resorts are rack rate. Just price out a packge online for the dates you want with room and tickets and thats they price youll pay with free dining

As MBanks stated previously, those staying in Mods & Deluxe will get the flyer referring to Mods & Deluxe (although they can book a value if they want, the flyer doesn't mention it...Disney would prefer you book up, not down.) The picture of the flyer was posted by someone staying in a Mod.

Charin, the person you're quoting, is staying in All Star Sports, so their flyer refers to Values & Mods...

Thank you! This is good to know! I'm pretty sure we will be booking a bounceback offer during our stay in October for next September! :cool1: I'm looking for a very budget friendly trip. Free dining plus a value would save us a ton!!:goodvibes

Okay stupid question time!

I know what a bounceback is and I know what free dining is. Is a bounceback w/ free dining mean that you get free dining AND a reduced rate on your room? That would just be steller:cool1:

Yahoo! Can't wait to book when I get there on 9-17!! Thanks to a late Labor Day next year the dates work perfectly!! I'm so happy right now!!:cloud9:

Only at Old Key West and Saratoga Springs. First time Disney has ever offered free dining with a room discount. Otherwise you have the ability to book free dining for next year before anyone else

djx is the code as somebody mentioned and I guess (as somebody mentioned) that because I am staying at a value I got the flyer with the values and mod info. I was pretty excited cause I thought the room would be at regular rate in order to get fd so I was so happy to see the 58 rate (which is even less than the 59 I currently have this week) plus the free ''disney dining plan'' . so now I am even thinking I could either save the money staying at a value or upgrade to a mod (which I am sure is what disney wants me to do ;) sorry I cannot take a pic of the flyer and post right now, perhaps when I get home. it just say ''select value resorts'' and ''select moderate resorts''. it says to ask about packages for other resorts and it also says to ask for packages for stays from 10/2 to 10/8. it does say the offer is nontransferable. hope all of this helps. and btw we are having a great time.

Bummer, I tried to price our package for 1 adult and 1 child for next year to see what the package would cost us but I can't put in dates for 2009 on Disney's website. Anyone know any way around this problem?

Thanks

It is NOT $58 a night, it is $58 a DAY PER PERSON (including park tickets).

What you need to do is price out a room at Pop for next fall (with park tickets but NO DINING) to see what your price would be.

A bounceback is an offer that Disney puts out in their resorts during people's stays. You have to be staying at a WDW resort to get one. The rates or promotions they offer are different at different times of the year...sometimes they will give you free tixs, or a discount off the room or even better Free Dining! The Free Dining BB is what we are all hoping for and it occurs usually during the current Free Dining time so people who are there at WDW during the FD promotion right now will be able to bounceback (meaning book a room) for a package for next year and get the basic dining plan for free. Make sense?? I hope I am not too muddy in my explanation! :thumbsup2

Great news...I have my $200 deposit ready to put down...we check in at the end of next week:woohoo:

I understand what Disney's saying $X per person per night based on a certain location, number of nights & people, but try as I might, I cannot replicate the numbers they came up with. See if my math is off....

The Flier's Info for an AK room:

$95/nt * 5nts * 4 people (2 adult, 1 jr, 1 child)
= $1900 (before tax)

The website:

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
Check In September 06, 2009
Check Out September 11, 2009
Staying for 5 nights, 6 days
Adults 2, Children 2 (1 is a jr.)
Room Type Standard View
Tickets 5-Day Magic Your Way Base Ticket
Package Magic Your Way Package
not including dining.
= 2,263.05 (before tax)

:confused3 Looks like theres a different formula than what's being used for base packages on the website going on here.
