Waiting List Tips/Advice?

I am currently on a waiting list for a 2-bedroom at Disney's Vero Beach Resort from July 29 through August 5th.

I have 4 of the 7 days I need, and I am waiting for 3 more days. Each of the 3-days that are on the waiting list are on a day-by-day basis. My reservations were orginally made back in February.

Has anyone found that calling Members Services on a regular basis increases their ability to get the dates they need? Or, is this a waste of time?

Any other tips?

It's probably a waste of time. I was on a waiting list twice, and both times was eventually called by MS several weeks later, and got what I wanted. (I will admit that I kept calling at first, though, to check on availability, ....couldn't help myself!) I had all but forgotten about my requests when I got the calls.

If it were me, I'd call once - to make sure I'm actually on the waitlist and that it is for each day separately. I'd also verify "auto-confirm" or call - whichever way I'd decided to go.

I would be checking the DVC member website every day to see if something had come through - that seems to get updated as soon as something changes - so the info will be there before a letter or call reaches me.
