Waiting list question

I have been trying to piece together 7 nights at Kidani Savannah view for December 23-30 and finally did it! (It is our home resort and we booked inside 7 months, so we could only get Key West, which is also a great place). I was originally on waiting lists to get some of the nights I needed, but I learned that waiting lists only go through the online system at midnight? Is that right? I found out because I was on a waiting list for one specific night, and I saw that it was available, but the waiting list did not go through, so I just booked it online myself.

Anyway, love Kidani and very excited about our trip, even though I know the crowds are going to be crazy! We plan on hitting the parks early, taking afternoon breaks and have dinnner reservations all 7 nights, so hopefully that will help.

Curious about what everyone has heard about the waiting list issue.

I thought they ran it a couple of times during the day to find matches for the waitlists. But if someone cancels before the computer runs the program, you can find your nights available online without the waitlist. I have had this happen also - I guess it is an IT glitch.

I don't think that anyone other than a few Disney people know how the waitlist is administered. I have gotten 5 or 6 different stories from MS and members are still finding availability during the same times as their existing waitlist.

I've had my waitlists come through at different times of the day. One came through this past week late afternoon/early evening. I had checked inventory in the morning and again in afternoon and nothing showed available. Around 7:30 I logged in and saw it was fulfilled. Another time was mid-morning.
