Waiting for Rest of Fall 2015 Room Only Discount

Just had the opportunity come up to go to WDW this October. We are going with the family in September, October would be by myself or just DH and I. Now I'm debating about booking now at the current rates, waiting for a possible fall RO discount, or toying with the idea of a BB offer when we are there in late September. Any chance we could even get a room if we wait on the BB offer? We are considering Deluxe (BCV, WL, or Poly). I kinda want to book now and just hope for a discount to be released. Would they possibly let us apply the BB offer to an existing reservation?

If it was me, I would book the resort and room category I want to be in now, and apply room offer if it comes out. As for the BB offer, I am not sure if you can apply it to an existing reservation, but I don't see why you couldn't...assuming there are no exclusions. Good luck and hope you have a great time on both your stays.

What are the chances of someone here giving us a heads up? Will a visa discount come out first and then a week later open up to general public? Just wondering if I need to be up every morning at 7am to check the Disney website.

We used to get a headsup, but lately it seems at most we might find out a day or two ahead. Usually when Disney Visa is released, it is a couple days in advance not a full week. However, it is sometimes just released to general public right away. No early release for DV holders.

This discount has become more important since my solo trip is looking like it is going to be an 11 person family trip now. I knew I should have kept it a secret.

Right now it is looking like 4 rooms at POP but I would prefer 3 rooms at Beach if a good enough discount comes along. Can't put a price on easier transportation and amenities when dealing with a 2, 3, 8, 10 and 11 yr/old

Yes, they could do this. That said, this was not the case last year.

They have in prior years. It is just a waiting game now to see if today is the day.

One more question.... I think this has been covered, but I am still unsure..... when the discounts do come out should I call or can I do it online?
For my last trip (3 years ago) I called for the FD offer bc I hadn't even made a reservation yet.

I completely understand how you feel. You might be able to modify your reservation online. I read that some have that option, but not all. I usually call into the reservation line. Two years ago, it took me an hour to finally get through. **I think I misunderstood your question. Yes, as you stated, you can go online and make a reservation using the link of the offer.

I was just exploring in MDE and there is an option to look for offers. I looked, and of course there is none.

Just heads up for anyone going during jersey week... at POR ALL of the regular rooms are booked up (according to the website). Only Royal rooms are left.

I feel like 25% of the time the website is down after a couple clicks! (90% when trying to access on my mobile browser) Last week I was thinking the same thing 'maybe it's because they're putting the discounts in their system!' but nope, just standard operating procedure

That is sad to hear. I personally didn't experience that last week. Thanks for letting me know. I guess I shouldn't be surprised tomorrow morning if no new discounts are posted.

Thank goodness I am booked in a royal room that week.. maybe I will be able to get a RO applied when they do come out! I am going either way, but it would be nice. The royal rooms don't ever sell out because they only sleep 4.
