My husband and I booked a BB for end of September because they were the only dates available for the room category we wanted, though we had hoped to go when it was not so warm. We are delighted to now realize that both F&W and
MNSSHP will be during that time, because in all of our trips, we have never been there during the fall months, so we will get the experience these for the first time.
Can anyone who has attended F&W tell me whether the crowds and lines for the food booths consistently tend to be really crazy? I thought I remembered reading that on here years ago when I was more active.
Also, can anyone who has visited in late September tell me, is their experience that it is just as hot as, say, August? I realize that I can look at historical temps online but doing that alone has backfired on me before, so I was interested in others’ experiences. Our last few summer trips were pretty brutal, heat-wise, so if it is going to feel the same then we will adjust our plans to be out and about less in the day and more in the evening.
We are very excited to finally go to F&W but want to be realistic about how much time to spend there if it is going to be super hot with super long lines for the food.
