Waiting for Closing Documents from Resale

How long do you have to wait before receiving the official closing documents if purchasing a resale? I've been waiting for a while.

We made our offer on 8/16, passed ROFR on 8/26, got closing docs on 9/4, and were closed on 9/10. It took another 9 days to get in the system so we could book. We went through **********.com--some brokers seem to sit on paperwork and it can take a lot longer.

The average used to be 60 days from start to finish. How long has it been?

If you have questions or concerns, contact your sales person. That's what they are getting paid for! During my 2 closings I frequently communicated with him via email. When I thought there were delays at the closing company, I communicated with the closing company agent via email.

Take a look at your contract and see what the time frames are. Use those as a basis of your questions.
