Well, I attempted to make ressies at Chef Mickey's and Le Cellier only a month before our trip, and it wasn't pretty. No luck at all at Le Cellier and an 8:30 p.m. at CM, which is a little late for my kids. Does it work to keep calling in case of cancellations? Does anyone actually cancel? Or should I just wait until I get there and try the day of? I'm bummed, but I guess that's what I get for being indecisive about where to eat! :sad2:

Keep calling, there is a chance that someone will cancel. If you don't get in, make ADR's for Crystal Palace. It's a great character meal.

Go ahead and make an ADR for crystal Palace like the other poster said or Garden Grill in Epcot. Both are very good and a lot of fun. Then keep trying everymorning and even when you arrive at the hotel, go to concierge and ask them to check for openings.

We lept trying too for Chef Mickey for dinner with no luck. Weh ahd been asking about breakfast too and nothing.

DH called two weeks ago and finally got a breakfast. keep trying!

Keep calling, even while you are there - I am one of those people who actually cancel when we change our plans. On our Feb trip, we decided at noon that a 6:45 dinner at Ohana was not going to work out.

Tired Grandparents wanted a light meal and quiet drink at POFQ, while the revved teenager and I wanted to "powertrip" the MK.

I simply called from my cell phone and said we wanted to give up our table. The CM was astounded and asked if I was really sure about this :)

I assured him and said that we thought it was polite to open up space that we weren't going to use. He thanked me profusely and then laughed saying that someone would probably grab that ressie within the hour :goodvibes

I have also cancelled at our hotel concierge and at the restaurant podiums, anywhere from the days before to within an hour or two. It is so frustrating to see people turned away when tables are empty and it seems that the ADRs that they are being held for are "no-shows" :sad2: , so it makes me feel like I am spreading the magic :wizard: if I am courteous and cancel what I won't be using.

Good Luck!!!

Definitely keep calling. Many people make ADRs so far in advance that when it gets closer to their trips, their plans may change. I'm not sure how old your kids are, but we had an 8:50 ADR for CP this past trip and it was fine - ended up staying at MK till 12:00 (including DD6 who usually is asleep by 8:00). Good luck!

I would continue to call, up to and including while you are there. In April we were able to change our ADR time at Jiko that afternoon. I too always cancel my ADR's if our plans change. Some times it is days ahead, the least time once was 6 hours ahead.

YES keep calling. We changed a ressie the day we arrived for later that week. People are always changing and canceling, just keep calling.

As the above poster say, keep calling! We have canceld while in Disney too. One trip I got really sick and we had to cancel CM and CRT! They were shocked when we said to cancel them, but I just couldn't make it. :guilty:
I hope that never happens again or to anyone!

In case anyone hasn't said it already-keep calling! :rotfl2: I've been able to make some ADRs while already there (during Sept. free DDP) and a few years back (before POP opened) I had to keep calling for my room ressies. For awhile I had a 1 day gap between my stay at one of the AS. Finally, after calling everyday, I was able to fill the gap. I was beginning to think we would have to stay in our van! :scared:

Yes keep calling, I have changed my meals around alot already. I am now pretty set on our ADR's but I did get lecellier after days of calling. It is not a perfect time but will work. 2:40

Like everyone had said, keep calling, keep calling, keep calling. Yes people do cancel. Just this morning I had to cancel an ADR for Donald's and for chef mickeys (they were to early for DF and I). Good Luck.:tink: Here's some pixie dust!
