Wait to get DAS

We are going first week of March, first time to DW. At DL we would always get DAS on the first day as soon as we entered the park.

Now that my son is older his autism is more manageable. That combined with spaced out lines and not having strangers squished right up next to him I think we might be able to skip the DAS!

We will only be here for two days. If we find that part way through the trip it’s still too much and he needs to wait outside the line, would-we have to go back to the entrance to setup the DAS or can it be done elsewhere in the park?

thank you!

I think you can only have it done at guest services, so I would just get it on your first day just in case. I went with a friend with an autistic child a few months ago. The first day, we didn't use DAS, but towards the end of the day, we knew we had to get it. They were not used to all the walking so it was a life saver to have DAS to sit and wait for the rides.

This is from the WDW document (https://secure.cdn1.wdpromedia.com/.../wdw-disability-access-service_2015-04-30.pdf)

Where to go: Stop by a Guest Relations Main Entrance location to discuss your specific needs.

Guest Relations Main Entrance locations:
• City Hall at Magic Kingdom® park
• The Guest Relations lobby (near the Main Entrance) at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® theme park
• The Guest Relations lobby (near the turnstiles) at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®
• The Guest Relations lobby (near Spaceship Earth) at Epcot®

I can't remember if the AK one is inside or outside of the parks.
The only time we have ever gotten one outside is when we went to MK and had to activate our DVC annual pass. We were able to get the DAS at the same time. Most of the time I have done it at City Hall, which is inside the park at MK.

I would get on way in that way you have it if you need it. nothing makes you use it all the time but you have if it is needed
