wait time for bus (from MK to POR) end of day

Just wondering how awful the wait for a bus back to POR (in particular from MK) is likely to be at the end of the day -
- after Main St. Electrical Parade
- after Wishes
- at closing

We will be there in the middle of March (beginning of peak time but still several weeks before Easter).

It looks like our 1st day the parade will be at 7pm, Wishes at 8, closing at 10.
The rest of the days the parade is at 9, Wishes at 10, closing at 10 (except if EMH).

We will have a van, but usually it's been recommended to rely on the bus for MK, as you still have to wait for the ferry or monorail back to TTC anyway.

The longest wait I've had, at park closing, for a bus to come was when I was at Pop. I ambled out of the park, and got in the very long line. Had to wait through 3 buses before I got on one. BUT..that wait was less than half an hour.

When at POR? Had lesser waits at the end of the MK day. I now take my time leaving the park. I like to sit and people watch as they stream out of the park. If I'm not close to the park exit at park closing, and able to be among the first leaving for the buses, I hold back about 20 mins or so, then leave the park.

The best advice I can give is NOT to try to leave any park at closing. On our last trip we watched Wishes and then sat on a bench right across from the castle. We watched as the throngs stormed down Main Street to the park exits. We waited around 15-20 and then walked slowly down a very quiet and deserted Main Street to find the bus loading area equally quiet and deserted.

The best thing to do at park closing (any park) is to either sit or window shop, or shop at the open stores. Do anything for around 20 minutes while the vast majority of people leave. By doing this you will bypass the mad rush out and have a much more enjoyable bus ride back to your resort.
