I am trying to book a studio at BCV 10/2-8. I have the nights of the 4th, 5th, and 6th, and am waitlisted for the others. What do you think the chances are for getting these?

I also tried for a cash reservation, which I was able to get, but at a rate of $319/night plus tax. They said there are no discounted rooms for members. I thought at one point there used to be, but according to member services, it is only if there is a large block of rooms unsold.

Hi Sharon.....I have no idea what your chances are but, with low point costs and every DVC able to book for Oct, I think it will be hard. Hope for a cancellation or more developer inventory released to BCV DVC. Good luck and.....Wow, That Illuminations cruise we all took was a blast. ......spruce

It's tough to say for BCV's.

Since that resort is still selling, they will release new rooms into DVC on a regular basis.

If they release a lot of new rooms before your trip, you may get in.

And if they don't, then you're probably out of luck.

Thanks everyone. I ended up cancelling the 3 nights that I had since I couldn't get a good cash rate. I waitlisted for the entire time at both BCV and BWV. That way, if the 3 nights don't come through, I am not going to be forced into either paying a ridiculous cash rate or having my points go into holding .

We are keeping our resv at AKL ($182/night tax included) for a savannah room. I was also able to get $209 tax included at BWI for the stay. At least these rates aren't too bad if the entire stay does not come through at BWV or BCV.

Tom.....we loved the cruise also. I'm thinking of trying to find someone who has the cruise booked and share again when we are down! My Mom actually said this was the best trip we every had!!!! Talk to you soon.
