Wait List History...

Just curious...has anyone out there in disland EVER gotten a waitlisted concierge villa at AKL?? If so, how long before your arrival did the waitlist come through for you??

The CM told me he would "start" the waitlist for the 3 additional nights I needed so I am hoping that means we are first on the waitlist....our stay isn't until August so I figured it would most likely be close to the 30 day mark before it came through if it did at all.

Just wondering if it had ever happened. Anyone???

Never had to waitlist, but hope you are indeed first on the list

So are you waitlisted for three nights or for one night, three times? If you waitlist for three nights, all three nights have to come through to get it. If you waitlist for one night, three times, if a single night comes through, you will get it if you are first on the list.

There's not alot of history here for the concierge rooms at AKL. As they are very limited, it's not as likely for any wtl to come through as easily as other room types in resorts where what you're looking for is more plentiful. Being on the waitlist is the first step and I hope some magic happens for you. Just be sure to have back up plans and I agree with the poster who mentioned to ask to be wtl day by day vs. for the entire three days.---Kathy

We waitlisted for a concierge studio on July 3rd and it came through within 2 weeks. But this was only for one night. I am still surprised that it came through for this holiday period. I am hoping to entice DH to add on at AKV with the teaser of just a one night stay there!

Thanks for the replies....I originally waitlisted for the 3 day block because that is what the CM told me I had to do....I called back later the same day and had them do it for each night individually as well.

We have a savannah view studio at AKV for the first 3 nights of the stay (concierge studio for last 3 nights)... so if the wait list comes through for any or all of the nights great...if it doesn't, it isn't the end of the world. It is DD's graduation trip and she LOVES AKL concierge....she thinks we are staying at OKW like usual so this would be a nice surprise for her if it comes through.

I just need to make myself quit checking every day!! It is a long time until August1!!
