Wait List at BWV December

I have 12-4 thru 12-10 booked at BCV for 91 pts

I waitlisted Standard View BWV for 63 pts

What are my chances?

You are limiting your chances due to the standard view category.

But what do I know, we rarely get our wait lists granted.

I hope you get it! Did you waitlist right at 7 months? That's such a popular time, once I waitlisted one night during that time period and it didn't come through...at any resort. It was when we weren't limited in the number of waitlists we could have.

IMO, not very good. That's a very popular week (probably almost as popular as Christmas - New Year's); the standard view category is only about 20% of the resort; and the standard views were almost certainly booked up within the first few days of the 11 monthg window opening. (I'm assuming you got on the waitlist at 7 months or perhaps just got on it now).

All that said, you never really know and since you have a back up at the BCV, you can just "let fate decide" where you will end up.

I wish I could say that your chances are good but you have a number of factors working against you. The days you want are some of the most popular of the entire year at DVC. Standard rooms at BWV are few in number. Studios are the most popular size unit. There are probably quite a few folks ahead of you on the waitlist. You want a bunch of days rather than just 1 or 2 days.
Having said that, you just never know. Pixie dust is all around. Good luck! That time of year WDW is decorated so beautifully so you will have a wonderful time no matter where you stay.

Not impossible, but not that good. My guess is that it won't happen.

You could save points at AKV and OKW if you try there. But it won't be an Epcot resort.

We waitlisted right at 7 months for either BCV or BWV for Dec 5,6,7 in a studio. Nothing so far and I also call from time to time to see if perhaps just the 6 and 7 is available. Again nothing so far.

Here is another question The MS rep told me that if my waitlist request comes through after my cut off to bank my points i will lose them. Meaning the difference of 28 points between BCV and BWV. IS THAT TRUE?

Yes, that's true. So you need to cancel the waitlist once you hit the eight months time frame of your UY. After that, no banking points. You use them or lose them.
