Wait and see

Haven't been to the parks in 6 years and away from the disboards for probably the same amount of time. Lots has happened in between. Been so long we havent seen Avatar Land yet.
Im at a wait and see. I have non expiring tickets sitting in my account.
Its really not worth the money for me to fly out and stay until the parks are up and fully running. I want to be vaccinated and masks would no longer be required.
What is your best guess to when that might happen? Im guessing 2023 but its a shot in the dark.

No masks, you may be right about 2023. I think the parks may be back to "normal" operations by mid next year 2022 but the mask requirement may stick around a while longer.

I'm waiting to see who is allowed to travel to the US. Disney World is such a melting pot of people from all over the world. I would want to be sure everyone there had had access to a vaccine before travelling. The variants could be problematic for a few years yet. Can't be too safe these days.

This is why we're holding off til 2023 as well. I'm hoping for no masks and the restoration of fireworks and meet and greets. I'll probably head down as soon as I'm able as a TA solo, but the trip with the kids will not be for another 1.5 years.

I heard park reservation will still be happening till 2023? Who knows if and when FP will be back and in what form.
Now with new variants that are much more transmissible and dangerous and we don’t know if our current vaccines are going to work with these who knows when masks requirements will be lifted.
Hate to paint a gloomy picture but I’m in the wait & see camp. I don’t want to go back to WDW without FP. I can’t imagine spending 3 hrs in a park and only getting on 3 rides if I’m lucky. At the prices they want!
