I made our ADRs Friday. I got everything we wanted but 2 of the times really are not optimal.

Our first night I got CP and last night got Ohana. I can flip flop them if I can get better times. So far, I haven't found a better time for either on the night I have them booked. Just now, I found the perfect time for CP on our last night, but there is NOTHING open for Ohana on our first night, and I want Ohana at some point during the trip.

I just know by the time something pops open at Ohana for the first night, the perfect time on the last night for CP will be gone.

Would you take the time at CP for the last night since it is perfect and just cross your fingers that something opens up at Ohana between now and August, or stick with the 2 not so optimal times so we at least get both restaurants on our want list?

I can't believe I stress so much over where we'll eat in 6 months. LOL Only DIS people understand though. Even my husband rolls his eyes at me when I discuss this stuff!

That's tough.

Door # 1 Both restaurants at not good times. A bird in hand...

Door # 2 One ADR is perfect, but do I give up the other...

Well, here's my experience and what I would do. We always make our reservations at 180 days, reserving what we can get at that time. Then for the next 6 months I check online every day and so far, for all of our many trips we've always gotten every restaurant we've wanted on the day and within 30 minutes of the time we've wanted.

People change their plans all the time so there's a lot of fluidity within the 6 months. I'm willing to take the chance knowing that it's up to me to keep checking for cancellations.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do. :)

I would take the perfect CP time and hope something better comes up for 'Ohana. I don't like to eat really early or too late so timing matters to us. Not sure which way your current times fall ... too early or too late. Early I could maybe deal with but not late!

Good luck!
