Have you done the wagon ride at the Fort? We have stayed 3 times but never done it? Is it worth it? I am wondering if it is something my 4 and 2 year old will enjoy.

I've not done the hayride in several years but the last few trips we've camped in loops where the hayride came through.

The kids might like to see the horse and to see it working - pulling a wagon. The clip-clop on the pavement is clear and as you go by the campsites you might point out their decorations, lights, or bikes.

It's not expensive, it's fun, and you can see how other folks camp.

PS - take the boys through the horse barn behind the pony corrals over by the big bus turnaround at Trails End/Pioneer Hall/beach. If it's working hours the horses are sometimes getting shoed, getting a bath, standing/eating/sleeping in their stalls. The Percherons (sp?) are BIG horses.

We did it in September. My kids, 17, 14, 6, 6, & 5, really enjoyed it. They take you through a couple of the preferred loops and down a trail by the water. It was a lot of fun. And one of the cheaper options at Disney!

I think the wagon ride is a great family time and the cost of $8 adults and $5 children is a bargain. (unless prices have changed since 2014?) Ed's pictures of the horses / horse barn are great. We visit the stables every visit and have our favorite horses (Chief and Jake) and have enjoyed the wagon ride in the past.
