lol, so I'm barely making my Monday timeline for this one, but this weeks poll is....

Would you rather go on the wagon hayride or the carriage ride? Here is some info below if you're not sure which:

Wagon Ride
-----------
Offered on a first come, first served basis, you can take an old-fashioned horse drawn wagon ride for a 45 minute tour of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

Carriage Ride
------------
A relaxing and cozy 25 -minute carriage ride through Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

The wagon ride holds around 20 people or so, the carriage ride can hold 2 adults and a couple children.

So for those that have been (or even those that have always wanted to go), which one would you rather go on?

I voted Carriage...because Im not a big fan of being squeezed in with 20somethingodd strangers

But if there were a way to organize a Disboard GG Wagonride...that would be fun!!!

Something to keep you busy for the 4thGG Jen???

The hayride goes to places Golf Carts are banned from. (well, only if Mean Gene is around)

The carriage ride goes thru a couple of loops and around the horse barn. For the cost of a carriage ride, I'd want a harness horse and driver going like hell thru all loops, up to the outpost, over to WL, and blazing a path to the Contemporary!Hi-ya mule!

You can! You will be charged for a full wagon, even if it's not full, but it can be done! We did it one year on NYE. The wagon driver came to our party site (202) and picked us all up & brought us back to the same site. I didn't organize it, so I'm not sure if there was an extra fee... but we all gave the driver a very nice tip!!

I voted wagon. We have too many kids to fit into the carriage.:)

Wagon ride and wishes. Sounds good to me. Denise

Wow - the vote was split 50/50 when I voted.

I voted Wagon, because we'll have the kids with us when we go, but I think if it were just me and DH, I would pick Carriage.

It's still split 50/50, this might turn out to be an interesting one ;)

I voted for carriage ride. We took our first ride last year at Christmas time and we enjoyed it sooooooo much. We were able to talk to the driver about what we saw and she was very informative about the people who had decorated their campsites. We intend to do it again this year.

is that something i am planning for next year? not this year i hope...

I voted wagon ride because it is something I have always wanted to do and in just over a month I will get to! :cool1:

I would do the wagon ride, but only if 400 otters pulled us instead of a dopey horse.

And I voted for the Golf Cart Ride instead.

The picture I have in my mind is hilarious! :rotfl2:

We did the carriage ride for the first time a couple years ago, it was freezing that night, it was nice that they had these really heavy blankets for us. We ended up going on the trail back to the Wilderness Lodge as compared to through the Fort, and I'm glad we did, it was so quiet and nice back there.

We did one just after Christmas a few years ago up at Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON. It was snowing out, just after dark and they put a bear skin blanket over us (it was Canada after all). There were even carolers in the back ground. Currier and Ives type scenery. I'll never forget that. I don't suppose you'd get the snow at FW though. :rotfl:

Actually, that was the year it snowed in Orlando (about 2 years ago). So I guess technically we could have gotten snow, although it was the night before that it happened.

First time in my 32 years of the Fort I've ever heard of there being snow in the air at the Fort (although it was just swirling in the air, couldn't even really see it).

MAN it was cold that Thanksgiving!

They give you a choice? You can go down the exercise trail if you want?

They didn't give us a choice, I guess you could ask, that is just the way they took us. I do know that they do go down that trail though, it's not always around the inside of the Fort. There have been quite a few times I've seen people heading in that direction, or coming back from that direction.
