We are arriving at 9am. One son is requesting a donut from Krispy Cream while the other son is requesting Waffle House. Are there any that are close to each other? We will have a rental car

Waffle Houses are doing quite a bit of new builds in our area (just north of Orlando). I've never been to one, but apparently, they must be doing something right to warrant 3 new builds in about 2 years here.

I’ve been to several in North Carolina. It as a “one and done” for me. But my son enjoyed it when I took him.

We're going to give it a try with very low expectations. These new ones are popping up as new builds near retirement communities.

When we are in Cocoa Beach every year, we make it a point to go to Waffle House. We get a kick out of it because it's such an 'interesting' experience. The (thin) pecan waffle IS very good with tons of pecans but the 'show' is hysterical. It's usually crowded & loud and the waffle irons are so insanely busy, they are dripping dough.
It's like a 3-ring circus.

Yes, you're wondering why we go but it's actually fun and we laugh about it as soon as we say "Let's Go to Waffle House". (And it's cheap). We definitely will be going in January like always. Probably more than once.

Anytime we are driving anywhere south we try to make it to a Waffle House. Sometimes several times in one trip. It's a greasy spoon style diner with good breakfast food. No matter what time of day we eat there, I order breakfast, although my son does like the cheeseburgers.

Don’t forget the WhiteCastle It’s kinda halfway in middle of driving from WDW to USO.

Driving from airport or back to airport …must stop at Dunkin Donuts cause there is a clean Baskin Robbins’s inside all connected to the newish 7-11 Gas Station… and they have a electronic digital board keeping track of flight arrivals and delays . Crazy popular location !
