VWL- what room requests do you make and any tips / advice?

Hello I've got both my fingers and toes crossed that I will be able to get a 1 bedroom at vwl late April next year. Just wondering is there any particular view . Position that you request? Is high up better? Also I'd welcome any advice about the resort . Thanks can't wait till September and my booking window opens!

VWL is mostly views of trees; however, it is gorgeous and serene there. I suggest asking for a lake side room, close to Hidden Springs pool, and floors 2-4. On the lake side, you might catch glimpses of EWP and Wishes. Closer to the pool means a shorter walk to the elevators, and floors 2-4 would get you off ground level and keep you away from the dormer style balconies on the fifth floor which are hard to see over. As for other tips, you can rent bikes, walk the nature trail, search for Hidden Mickeys, and enjoy family movie nights on the beach among other things. Enjoy!

We've only stayed at VWL once, but if I were to go again, I'd request the view facing the lake, quiet pool, the back of the resort instead of the front. Last time we had a not-so-lovely view of the buses. Add that to the fact that we had a HA room and they didn't tell us, and we're not hurrying back there. Too many other resorts we love!

Congrats! I think you'll love it. As with any resort, there are less than favorable room locations such as the pp mentioned (ours currently at BCV is an example), but your odds are good you won't get one of those at any given time. Have fun!

Just to add to Sleepy dog'smost accurate comment, I would be sure to request high floor close to the elevator. There is one room that has no balcony and is by the dumpster you should try to avoid.

This is our home resort. Really there are only a few bad views these are the studios at the end of the long halls on the lower floors which face the maintenance area. Otherwise even the bus views are not too bad because there are lots of trees between you and them.

Just to add to Sleepy dog'smost accurate comment, I would be sure to request high floor close to the elevator. There is one room that has no balcony and is by the dumpster you should try to avoid.

That is a studio though so OP will be safe with a balcony no matter where they end up.
