I have looked on every website I can find, and although I have found plenty of floorplans, I cannot get the square footage. Anyone have this info?

Here are some reported room sizes for DVC resorts:

OKW
Studio: 390 sq. ft.
1 BR: 1005 sq. ft.
2 BR: 1410 sq. ft.
GV: 2375 sq. ft.

HH
Studio: 455
1BR: 856
2BR: 1311
GV: 2362

BWV
Studio: 359 sq. ft.
1 BR: 712 sq. ft.
2 BR: 1071 sq. ft.
GV: 2142 sq. ft.

VB
Studio: 375
1BR: 880
2BR: 1265
GV: 2125

VWL
Studio: 356
1BR: 727
2BR: 1083
GV: None

BCV
Studio:356
1BR: 719
2BR: 1075
GV: None

Now I am a little concerned, I didn't realize what a difference the room sizes were compared to OKW, we are staying at VWL 11/28 - 12/3 in a 2 bedroom (dedicated according to my confirmation) there will be 4 adults and 2 children, should I be concerend over room size and try to switch to OKW??? I really don't want to switch but we are bringing Mom and Dad and really don't want to be to tight? Do they consider the balcony in the square footage? If so, could that be some of the difference, the balconies at OKW seemhuge compared to the other resorts, and the pictures in the DVC guide only show a table for 2 for the 2 bedroom, is that for real? OKW had at least 4 if not 6 chairs?

OKW is huge compared to anything on WDW property.

but it is the first one and is not connected to a WDW resort - VWL is and that has some good benefits. OKW is set up like other stand alone timeshares - no room service - no valet parking and a bunch of other little things that VWL has because of WL.

don't get me wrong I love OKW. But VWL has it own charm - like being able to get on a boat and ride to the MK/Cont or FW. OKW only has a boat to DD every where else it is bus.

At VWL from the beaches at night you can see the EWP (Electric Water Pagen) - this is kind of fun. Like WL - VWL has a lot of smaller rooms that are great for just being there!

VWL is not OKW - but it does have it own fun stuff that you can't do at any other DVC resort.

Pat - everything you mentioned is why we bought at VWL, I like the fact that you can spend a day and not have your wallet wide open!!!! That's why I didn't want BWV or BCV, yes you are in the middle of stuff, but there it seems like you are always buying something, like a drink, popcorn, icecream, etc. I just felt I always had my wallet open! I love the VWL area, and the resort itself because you do have the "Deluxe" perks, like room service, valet parking, a lobby to hang out in, etc. But I was just blown away at the size difference of the rooms!!! Well we have gotten spoiled over the years, so a few 100 square feet isn't going to kill us!

Do they consider the balcony in the square footage?
No, it's just the actual room that they consider in the square footage.
We stayed at VWL in a 2 bedroom for part of our stay last March. For us, it did not work out well because we had a person using a wheelchair. We also gave the "studio" part to my MIL and FIL and had 2 girls sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room. With the sofa bed open, it was challenging to use the kitchen area. DH and I could get there from the master bedroom easily, but we could not use the breakfast bar. MIL and FIL found it too tight to get past the sofa bed into the kitchen to get coffee, etc. So I handed things over the counter into them outside. If you don't use the sofa bed in the living room area, this won't be a problem.
We are also used to sitting out on the porch/deck at OKW with them for coffee in the morning. The little deck at VWL was just big enough for DH and I (but whoever was in front of the door had to move to let the other person on the deck come in).
If the porch is not priority to you and you are not using the sofa bed in the living room, I would not worry about the space.
