So have any of you been able to watch Once Upon a Studio yet? OMG I bawled!!! I have watched it like 5 times now and one time I would pause it in different spots to see all of the characters in it. They didn't forget Humphrey!!!! I got very emotional that they included Lambert!!!! Always one of my favorites.

I thought I might cry, but had no idea how much! I plan to watch it multiple times. Since watching it, I have read that they used outtakes of Robin Williams as the genie. But the thing that really got to me was the Feed the Birds on the piano being played by Richard Sherman, just like he and his brother used to play it for Walt. I think it was recorded in the same room where they played it too.
It was so well done and I loved every second!!

Thanks! He's ridden the school bus for field trips and liked it and does okay on an airplane which has a similar "feel" to the Mears buses, seat-wise. So I'm hoping that's a good sign. I'm mostly nervous because I've heard of people ending up on a large van for the drive back to the airport with Mears and I don't think he'll like that at all.

I might call them and ask for more info. I think they use the vans when there is not a large group going, like for really early or late flights. But I have no RL experience here, just guessing.

Yes! Playing Feed the Birds just made it magic. I didn't know it was Richard playing it though. So good to hear Robin Williams again.

I watched it just today and really enjoyed it, laughing out loud at least 4 times. I admit to having a smile throughout except for the moment Mickey looked up at at Walt and we're made to realize that he was the reason they were there and didn't live to see most of these characters come to life. He would have loved it all. Wasn't going to, but teared up.

We saw this sky as we were leaving Kona tonight




We have been here since Sun oct 8th and tonight is the 1st time we have seen the geyser
I think it was down because some techs have been out there for 2 days


Saw this guy at the quiet pool tonight

Also finally met up with Granny
He came out and hung out with us by the pool for a bit
We missed not seeing his DW but hope to see her again next trip we can cross paths

We arrived last night to our 1st stop at Brunswick GA and I thought I would share a few shots from our final moments at WDW
We must not have wanted to leave because we hung around at least 2 hrs after we checked out and loaded luggage
So we went to the Mercantile twice, got a bite of lunch at GP and just generally drug our feet leaving
The menu changed at GP
last week so the brisket, among our favorites there, went away.
Tammy had a steak sandwich that was tasty

Casey had a fried chicken sandwich and said he would get it again

I had the Bison burger, an original menu item that was as good as before

Indiana Jones was eating at GP
We have seen this guy at the parks before
He said he was from Tampa and just enjoys going to the parks in his outfit and gets a lot of good reactions from Indy fans

Well, the remainder of the trip is at hand and reality shall set back in soon enough

We have had a very hectic trip, chasing my 3 and 1 year old grandchildren. We were able to spend a lovely time at Geyser Point with DiznyDi and Disney Dad the day before the grandkids showed up. And then I was able to talk with Jimmy, Tammy and their clan down by the quiet pool on their last night. Lots of fun, stories and all around good times even though we were only able to spend less than an hour together.

I have to admit, we were restricted from doing a whole lot with the parks as we were on grandkid watch and often headed back to VWL for naps while my DD and DSIL enjoyed many attractions at the parks. Wouldn’t want to have it any other way. Oh, and almost all of our pictures featured the grandkids so not much to post here in that regard.

My grandson’s favorite characters are Buzz Lightyear and Gaston. So he was thrilled when he got to meet Buzz and show him his new Slinky Dog toy.



And we didn’t see a “live” Gaston so we had to make do.

Yes it’s an armadillo
He was floating around the shrubbery near the quiet pool
Granny is a long-standing groupie
He and I were talking the other night how we are on the very 1st page of the very 1st rendition of this whole Groupies group. If you look back at page 1 and see where those are shared
