VWL anniversary trip report with PS & tour reviews, plus pics…

Shan, We really liked SSR. The construction did not bother me at all. Most of the time we really didn't even take notice of all that was going on. I did see them planting trees at the Springs buildings one day on our way out of the resort. You could see more from the buses than from your car because of the fencing. I think it would be a great resort for a leisure trip. My girls loved the 2 slides too.

The meeting was interesting, just because we've never been. But we didn't really learn anything new( and we didn't win any doorprizes either! :sad2: )! Oh well, what would I have done with DVC ice scrapers in South Alabama anyway! Of course it was worth it in the sense that I got DH to go with me, and that of course was the final kicker in getting more points. When we left the meeting and walked over to the sales center "just to finally meet our guide :teeth: , DH said "you have ruined me! All I ever want to do is go to WDW all the time"! I just smiled. I take full responsibility! :rotfl: The ending slide show at the meeting was really nice with all these pictures of family enjoying DVC vacations. I'm really sad, because it about choked me up! I'm such a sap. If you happen to be there during a meeting time, I would go, but I wouldn't make a special trip over to SSR for it.

Erin, the meeting is on Wednesday, right? Maybe I can hit it in June while at SSR. When was it and how long did it last? Thanks!

gopherit, have a great anniversary at HH! Let me know if the boat horns do the trick there! ;)

Shan, thanks for the great trip report!! We celebrated our 10th and then our 15th anniversary in Disney! Just love it.... :lovestruc

Shan, the meeting was a 4:00 on Wed. in the theatre, and lasted an hour. If you're going to be there already its worth attending.

Wow, 4:00? I wonder why they don't do it in the morning instead?
Thanks for the info!

So emememem, will you be celebrating the 20th at WDW then, too? :love2:

Shan,

Great report! We were there. I had a lime green ribbon on my backpack but didn't see any Disers this trip. We had a blast. Unfortunately, my trip report will have to wait a bit longer. Need to help DS with a report on the Harlem Renaissaince right now. I'd much rather type a trip report!

Shan, I think I will send my Mom a postcard from Disney at our July trip. She is where I got this Disney addiction from :teeth: Mom and Dad went with us on our October trip and guess what? They are now in ROFR for 230 pts at OKW!!!!

Yes, we are celebrating our anniversary in July. We got married in Disney and honeymooned at that time seven years ago  A couple trip for us without my boys; can't wait :sunny:

Lisa :flower:

Hope you have a great anniversary trip Lisa!

Tooneric, yikes! Tough report! What grade is that? :earseek:

you had a wonderful trip...interludes and all;) :love2:

My lime green is lost in our luggage - somewhere in North America, but I kept an eye out for "Alice and the lumberjack guy" LOL!! DH was like:"Who exactly are we watching for again???"

I didn't forget about the Vacation Magic with the girls in it...I've got it tucked in a nice, safe place, and as soon as I remember where that is, I'll send it along!!:)

:sunny:

Thanks mbb. :goodvibes

Don't worry about the Vacation Magic copy. I ended up with two even to spare! I still gotta take one of them and get it matted and framed at Michael's...
They'll probably be married by the time I get around to that! :earboy2:

Shan,

DS is in 7th grade. He also had a 3 page report on Vivaldi due tomorrow! What a rude awakening after a week of magic. Well, to start my report...

BTW, I need to learn how to post pics. There must be a thread that shows how to do it I guess.

Great Report Shannon. Congrats on the 10 yr anniversary! Glad to hear the jinx is over!

Great trip report and happy anniversary!!! Hubby and I will hopefully enjoy a mommy and daddy only trip one of these years (probably not anytime soon as our second child is due in 10 days :goodvibes ) We have not yet experienced VWL but it sounds like the perfect setting for romance.

Happy anniversary once again,

The "other" Shan :teeth:

Thanks for taking the time to post such a great trip report. We are also coming down in April for spring break trip; the 3rd through the 10th. Staying at BWV studio. I imagine there will be a lot of us down there at that time. Would love to meet a few of you! :earsboy: :moped:

db78, I think it is gonna be VERY BUSY that first week in April. There is an April list floating around here soemwhere...
I guess I need to order another DIS button since I lost my last one.
If you see us, please say hello! We'll have our two little girls with us, both with light blonde hair.

Hey Shan! Am I the only one excited about your new Freestyle!?!?! I test drove it (because I'll get a $50 Visa card from Ford) and LOVED it (not required to get free Visa card), but it's too big for us right now. We have the Escape and that's perfect for the time being.

Loved your report since we'll be staying at VWL with mom in May (in a studio with my DH so no boat horns for us). Sorry to hear about your disappointing meal at Artist Pointe. We also have high expectations for our first-night meal there.

Thanks for a great report!
Tiff

Thanks Tiff! :goodvibes
How did you stumble across this thread? I thought it was buried deep in the DIS abyss. :rotfl2:

I'm really enjoying our Freestyle. I haven't seen too many out yet, but when I do spot one I get excited! Pretty pathetic actually. :teeth:

Hope you have a good trip and your Artist Pointe meal is better! :wizard:
