VWL 1BR- best room/view? (also ? re: renting requests)

Can you request a room/view while renting DVC points?

What would be the best view (fireworks, EP, and just pretty in general) for a 1BR?

You can have the owner add a request to the reservation for you. But, I don't believe there are really any views to request at VWL. When we stayed there last year, it seemed like everything would be looking at the woods.

There aren't many "views" from VWL. Most views are of the woods. You could ask to be near the elevator and have a view of the pool. That's about the only other view. Also, you can't see fireworks from the VWL. I wasn't sure what EP stood for so I can't comment about it.

You can definitely hear them, but sadly, can't see them. If anything, I'd request a room near the elevator. At least you'll have a great location! We did that in January and it was perfect. Our view was just okay -- bus stop rooftop on one side and a little courtyard on the side. But, I really liked being in one of the corner rooms.

Trees block the lake.

There is a side of the resort that faces the lake. And a side that faces the parking lot. But there are trees between each - so really, its trees......sometimes you catch the sun glinting off the lake - or the windshields - looks pretty much the same through the pines.
