VR a celebration of rememberance:30th anniversary shouldn't you get to know us first?

Here's hoping everyone stays safe if in the path of this storm that is upon us. My area has yet to experience it, but looking out the window you know something is coming. Reminds me of the neighbor in Mary Poppins. "There's a storm brewing Banks" hahaha If only it WAS Mary Poppins flying into town.

Onward with the update.

I will try to update in order of events.

RSVP's are all in but 3 couples. WAY more people are coming than I thought would want to. It being on a week night. And, a vow renewal.

Sent the readings to the priest, accept the Gospel. still undecided on that.
Priest agreed Mark & I will meet our guests at the back of the church.
music is picked out and looks like DS#2 will be singing one of the songs.
ordered the honey ham, but need to call back to order turkey. ordered cake

Flights- price came down on our friends flights, so I called her to tell her to call JB for a credit. There was 1 seat avail at a $60. diff for our kids return flight. I called today but, with the storm all lines are busy, please try online or call back later. I sent an email.
I changed DH,DD(9), and my seats on all flights to the "even more" room. Which apparently is n/c if accommodating a disability. I offered to pay for DH &DD, but they allow 1 accompany companion, and made an exception due to my DD age, and let her for free as well.

DIY projects - I did some of the shirts, but haven't finished them yet. When I do, I will post a picture.
The welcome bags are packed ready to be shipped. We found out it was only going to cost $14. to ship them to the resort & the resort will hold them if they get there early! I am so excited about this. This means when our friends & kids arrive prior to us, they will have the goodies waiting for them at check-in! How cool is that!?

Okay, I know I promised more update, but first....

I am in the middle of making matching shirts for my family & DDBF. So far, I have I have this:

DH & mine - purple picture on middle of back of us on our wedding day, and written above it says, "We said "I Do" in '82

DD(9) - purple same picture of DH & I small to left 1/4 down shirt, says "they said "I Do" in '82, then over to right side of shirts slight below picture of us holding DD and says "then had me in 2003".

triplets will have similiar to DD(9) - with picture of them at disney when they were about 5. (they picked the picture) and will say "they tripled the fun in '91"

DDBF - I don't think I will put a picture of us on his, but will put a picture of him & DD and say "I showed up late in 2008" (the year they started dating).

But, we plan on making him a joke one too, that one will just have his name on it, or DH wants to put a bunch of Mickey hands pointing all different ways, and write, "I'm with them". We will see.

Now here is my question. I need suggestions on what to write on the front. I want something to reference that we are celebrating DH & my 30th anniversary.
But none of the wording sounds cute. I like to make it original. Not just Celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary.

Any suggestions?

Here's the picture of my dress. It is not exactly what I had in mind, but the price was right, and my kids and my friend said it looked good. It is not a very good picture. My daughter went to take another for me & dropped my camera. Not my camera is not working right. Hopefully, DH will be able to figure out the problem, because it is my good camera & we leave in 11 days!!!

I'm not sure what jewelry I will end up wearing with it. The earings I have on I ordered from disney online & they got here just before I took this picture, so I left put them in.

Okay, so the camera seems to be working again, but I am not getting in that dress again until, 1 week from tomorrow.

However, I have finished some of the shirts enough to show.

Just have to figure out what to put on DDBF, and the family going with us has decided they would like matching shirt, so I offered to them for them.

I think I am going to put "celebrating 30 years of magic & all the miracles along the way" on our family.

I can officially say... we leave THIS week!!!

I've finished our travel companions shirt backs.

Now I have to do all 11 fronts, 1 back, and 5 names on sleeves. piece of cake.

VR church stuff is all set. picked readings, added names for prayers of the faithful, know which kid is doing what. favors are put together, basket is painted. BATHROOM & roof are done. Now it is just simple cleaning of rugs, cabinets, and polishing furniture, scrubbing grout on floor, and wash 2 windows. Oh, and hang the ribbon with lights for atmosphere.
DDBF is picking up a cake the kids ordered for us. We've hired an aquantance of ours to put the food out while we are at the church. Dog/house sitters are all set. Have rides to & from the airport.
Tomorrows plan is to finish shirts, and finish packing. (which I am sure I will sstill be saying Weds. night. ).

I am getting so excited about the trip, & sharing with our friends the gratitude that we have for all the blessings in our lives.

I am done with all 11 shirts, fronts, backs, and names on sides! Thank goodness. DD finally decided she liked "as if by fate, we began in '08" with a picture of her & her BF under the writing. The front is like everyone elses and says, "Celebrating the magic of marriage & all the miracles along the way". Now, if only my right thumb joint will stop aching. It was a much slower process than ever before. But they are done!! I can't wait to see everyone in them. We'll have to see which day we were them.
DD(9) is getting so very excited. Thankfully all her teachers are excited for her. They all are very aware of what a tough year this has been for her. Losing her "nena" (my mom), her "uncle Frank" (suicide, actually not a blood relation, but more involved in our kids life than most real aunts/uncles I know), and her Grampa (DH dad). This kid has truly had a lot for a 9 year old. It is so wonderful to hear her wake up and say, Mommy I had the best dream last night. Instead of, I dreamed of Nena, or that so & so died, or on her little mind. She is also excited about he vow renewal, or as she likes to call it, Mommy & Daddy's wedding. She has a beautiful dress, and shoes, and we are going to put ribbons in her hair. AND she doesn't know it yet, but I am going to try to make her a wand flower to hold. (no other flowers, but for hers). We'll see how it comes out though. DH is going to help me.

Tomorrow is the VR. All seems to be in place, other than another N'oreaster. Winds are blowing. Boston has some snow. We only have rain here, and we are only about 40mins out from Boston. We are flying out of Boston, but they aren't anticipating any issues for Friday.

I ended up forgetting a couple of things I had done, and didn't have enough time to do a couple of shirts that I wanted to do in addition to the VR ones I did. Live and learn I guess.
