Do you like this attraction? I've seen it a few times and I think it's great, but it was way better back in 2001 before the big rehab. There used to be an extra scene with King Triton talking to Sebastian the crab and also Ariel used to have a really cool tail that swished about while she sang. Now she has a giant sock for a tail that makes loud smack noises against the rock! Apart from that, the show is still really good, providing you get a good Ariel (I've seen a really terrible one before - she sang very flat). Anybody got pictures?

I like the Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I see it each time i visit the Wdw.

We saw it earlier this year because the line was short (I almost always just walk by). I noticed a lot seemed to be different -- I remember the first time I saw it I loved it. Not so much anymore. :confused3

I love the concept of it...I'm a drama teacher, and I think it's fabulous the way they use the black lights and puppets. I agree, I wish it was longer. The only thing that REALLY bugs me about it, is at the end when you can see she's wearing the dress and they just pull the fins off. As a theatre professional, I have to say, I understand it is a challenging moment on stage, but come on....I just really believe I could have come up with SOMETHING to cover up that she was already wearing the dress. I mean, they are DISNEY for goodness sake. Other than that, I really really like the show.

I liked it way back when.

But since the rehab, I am not thrilled. Now we only go see it when we need a nice quiet place to sit if it is hot out.

I love the puppets & everything. But in my opinion there is to much of the movie & not enough action.

I dont just need to watch the movie in condensed form.

We used to enjoy it way back when, but haven't done it for quite a while now. Sounds like I should skip it now.

The first time we were there we went and loved it. Thought it was so original and had a great time. This last time we went on it, and I fell asleep! (probably more to do with jet lag than the show) I do wish there was a lot more of the movie incorporated into the story. The using the whole room as part of the expeience is very creative and I would tell people who never been before to go. But unless its updated, I dont think I will go back for some time.

It's on our hit list for the coming trip. It's one of the few attractions at MGM that my kids enjoy. I think that will evolve as they get older, but we are definitely still in the "I want to see the princesses" phase.

And, we're talking about Ariel. You know, like Melody's mom! :rotfl: We get a request from at least one of the girls for Little Mermaid II at least one a month or so.

I do always have to see this attraction, but I thought it was better way back when also. Some change just isn't always for the better.

I liked the show both old and new

It is so creative and great way to relax on a hot day.

I truly enjoy it

I like this show....I never saw it before the big rehab.
I like it, just a little too much movie part.

Little Mermaid is my absolute fave! I hope Im not disapointed on my next trip (june 07). Maybe I wont notice the change. It will be Ariel Jacqueline's first time. I cant wait! :Pinkbounc

I never saw the old show, but dd LOVED this attraction in August. We saw it twice because she enjoyed it so much. If you have a little princess-like girl with you, this is a must-see.

I wish the seats were a little more stadium-style, though. Lots of little ones at WDW can't see too well with a group of adults sitting in front of them.

If you have small kids it's probably a good idea to aim for the back of the theatre and sit them on your lap. That way you can appreciate all the underwater effects much better and see the entire stage. You can't see everything when you sit right at the front, but at least you don't get hit by the spray!
